Dr. Joo is dual board-certified in Neurology and Clinical Neurophysiology. Dr. Joo graduated from Pomona College in Claremont with a bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology and then received her MD from Chicago Medical School.
She completed her Neurology residency at USC, followed by Clinical Neurophysiology and Epilepsy Fellowship at the University of California, Los Angeles. Dr. Joo’s training included Clinical Neurophysiology with special focus on electroencephalography (EEG)interpretation. She has great enthusiasm and drive for patient care to go with her robust academic and clinical background.
Dr. Joo’s research interests have included studying genetic predisposition in post-traumatic epilepsy. On a personal note, Dr. Joo was born and raised in Los Angeles County.
In her free time, she enjoys reading, yoga, and traveling with friends and family. Dr. Joo is is able to accommodate patients in two convenient locations with free parking. We offer hands-free mobile check-ins, self-scheduling, and appointment accelerator opportunities!
