Dr. Brian Wong was born and raised in Northern California, where he also attended undergraduate at UC Berkeley as a cognitive neuroscience major. Here he developed a passion for neurodevelopment and worked as a behavioral interventionist for autistic children.
He left California for New York to complete medical school at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he primarily cared for underserved communities in The Bronx.
He returned to California to complete his General Pediatrics and Child Neurology residency training at the nationally ranked Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles (CHLA). He concurrently completed a masters in Global Medicine, where he participated in various clinical externships, research projects, and teaching opportunities in Southeast Asia, Africa, and Latin America.
Following his residency training he became the youngest child neurologist to join Cortica, a multi-disciplinary clinic providing comprehensive care for children with neurodevelopmental conditions. There he acted as medical director for multiple Southern California sites, as well as oversaw training and mentorship of incoming doctors. He also facilitated collaboration across speech/occupational/music/ABA/counseling therapists to deliver exceptional care for children with autism, ADHD, and other developmental conditions.
In his spare time he enjoys cooking, skiing, paddle boarding, and spending time with his wife and 2 dogs.
